Taylor County Recreation Department

The Taylor County Recreation Department hosted the 2009 Dixie Youth "AAA" 10 and under District 3 Baseball Tournament, and also hosted the 2010 Dixie Softball State Tournaments for the Darlings (8 and under) and the Angels (10 and under) Softball Championships.
The Recreation Department is also the home of the TCHS Lady Vikings, TCMS Vikings and Lady Vikings, softball and baseball teams.
The Recreation Department provides year-round usage of a 1/4 mile walking track, play ground areas, and picnic pavillon.

Baseball, Softball, & T-Ball
- Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball play Dixie Youth. Registration begins in February with the regular season beginning in March and continuing through May. All-Star games are played in June and July.

Football, Cheerleading, & Basketball
- Football, Cheerleading, and Basketball play in "The Flint River League" which consists of the following counties: Chattahoochee, Crawford, Dooly, Marion, Schley, Stewart, Talbot, and Taylor.
- Football and Cheerleading registration begins in August with the regular season starting in September and continuing into November.
- Basketball registration is in November with regular season games beginning in January and continuing through February.
