Ban The Box: Al was one of the early proponents of "Ban the Box" which gives people with convictions a fair chance at employment by banning questions about prior offenses on job applications. Governor Nathan Deal agreed, and Georgia became the 14th State to pass it. President Obama then signed it into federal law.
Resurfacing and Improvements to Log Cabin Drive, including an added bridge and pedestrian access.
Sheriff's Office Dividend Program (promotes new hires & retaining deputies)
Marijuana Decriminalization Bill
Al sponsored and created the Fire Civil Service Board and also the Rosa Park Square Commission Board.
